Description: Bright Green Futures proposes to make a Plannning Application on the site of the former reservoir between Kneller Close and Alderdown Close BS11, with a vision of creating super sustainable, high quality, community-led housing in Kings Weston. A planning consent (15/00839/F) exists for 14 houses and associated road and groundworks. This comprises three storey houses in groups of two and three along either side of the former reservoir which is mostly demolished to accommodate the axial service road.

Description: The proposal is to demolish the existing properties and redevelop the site with a 6-storey hotel building, providing a total of 238 guest rooms. The scheme would be developed in two building phases: Phase 1 will comprise the development of the hotel building from 55 Newfoundland Circus up to the existing Police Station building, for a total of 171 rooms. Phase 2 will include redevelopment of the former Newfoundland Circus Police Station building, with a potential bridge connection to the Phase 1 building, enabling the construction of a further 67 rooms.

Description: Alteration and refurbishment works to include; re-modelling the main hall (Hall 1), creation of an improved performance space and provision of a restaurant on the ground floor of The Lantern room, re-modelling the existing cellar space to provide a third performance space and educational facilities, improvements to get-in and backstage areas, the restoration of the Colston Street frontage and associated external alterations.

Description: Unite’s proposals feature demolition of all buildings on site and reuse / redevelopment of the site for student residential led mixed use development. The proposals will include new build student accommodation and offices, together with a new medical school facility, in conjunction with the Hospital Trust, comprising a lecture theatre, seminar rooms and clinical teaching space. To the rear of the site, the existing chapel would also be demolished.

– Full Planning and Listed Building Consent for the refurbishment, part demolition, extension and change of use of the former Grade II listed George & Railway Hotel, demolition of the Grosvenor, to provide 5,630sqm (GEA) of creative office space (B1) with ancillary café/ restaurant uses at ground floor level (A3/A4), and cycle parking;
– Outline Consent for the redevelopment of the remainder of the site to provide up to 30,000sqm of new office accommodation (B1), including up to 2,000 sqm of retail uses (A1- A5), public realm and landscaping works as well as site servicing and car parking (outline detail).
